Certified Translations & Contract Localization

We translate legal documents with the technical precision that legal practice demands — and we localize international contracts so they are enforceable under Mexican law, not just readable in Spanish. All services are performed by bilingual attorneys and certified legal translators who understand both the language and the law behind the words.

Our Translation and Localization Services

Certified legal translations (English–Spanish)

We translate contracts, powers of attorney, corporate resolutions, articles of incorporation, legal opinions, court documents, IP registration certificates and any other legal document between English and Spanish. Our translations are certified and suitable for filing before IMPI, Mexican courts, government agencies and regulatory authorities. Every translation is reviewed by a bilingual attorney to ensure that the legal terminology is accurate and that the translated document reflects the intended meaning of the original — not just a word-for-word conversion.

Patent and IP document translations

We translate patent specifications, claims, drawings descriptions, utility model documents and industrial design descriptions for filing before IMPI. Patent translation requires technical vocabulary specific to each field of technology as well as familiarity with IMPI's prosecution requirements. We also translate trademark documents, priority certificates, assignment deeds and powers of attorney for IP prosecution.

Contract localization

Translating a contract into Spanish does not make it enforceable in Mexico. Legal concepts, liability structures, indemnification clauses, termination mechanisms and dispute resolution provisions may function differently — or not at all — under Mexican law. We localize international contracts to adapt them to the Mexican legal framework and business practices: replacing common-law concepts with their functional equivalents under Mexican civil and commercial law, adjusting liability and indemnification clauses to be enforceable before Mexican courts, adapting dispute resolution mechanisms (arbitration clauses, jurisdiction, applicable law), and ensuring compliance with mandatory provisions of Mexican law. We regularly localize MSAs, software licensing agreements, distribution contracts, franchise agreements, supply agreements, NDAs, IP licensing agreements and employment-related IP clauses.

Translations for litigation and arbitration

We translate evidence, pleadings, expert reports, court decisions and other documents required in cross-border litigation, arbitration proceedings and administrative actions before IMPI. We understand the procedural context in which these documents will be used, which ensures that the translation is not only accurate but also formatted appropriately for the proceeding.
